With Dish Network, there is always something new to try because Dish Network is always coming up with something new. The creative products and innovative services that Dish Network has to offer have helped set industry standard for almost 20 years. These products and services have given Dish Network customers the ability to try new and exciting home entertainment options that have helped save hard-working families time and money.
When Dish Network decided to offer their services to the Hispanic community living in the United States, they were the first Pay TV company to offer International programming, in native languages like Spanish, Chinese, African, and more. Currently, Dish Network offers over 180 international channels, broadcast in over 28 different languages. Now, Dish Network has decided to take their International Programming to the next level, by offering more access than ever.
This access is provided by collaborating with NeuLion, Inc, an IPTV service provider that is able to bring On Demand and Pay Per View programming selections right to the viewer’s hand-held portable or PC. This service will also be available on TV, if the TV is set up for internet reception.
This new service was originally designed to meet the needs of the communities that do not have access to Dish Network satellite TV services. However, anyone that is interested is able to get it to watch live, real time events from other countries through the Pay Per View option, or they can use this service to stay current with favorite programming on the On Demand selection, much like the American Pay Per View and On Demand features that are available now.
NeuLion, Inc is able to do this by streaming this programming on a “universal platform”, able to be viewed on several different operating platforms at one time to give people all over the globe access to live Pay Per View events, or On Demand selections.
Chris Wagner, Executive Vice President of NeuLion said, “We see distinct synergies between our respective television distribution services and believe that DISH Network customers will benefit from the further reach provided by a broadband offering. We believe that the match of our technology with DISH Network’s international programming rights will greatly benefit ethnic communities in the United States.”
Chris Kuelling, Vice President of International Programming for DISH Network, said, “As the leading multichannel video provider of international channels in the U.S., we are excited to enhance our nationwide distribution of international content to include IPTV. We know some of our customers prefer to watch their favorite channels via satellite and others prefer broadband delivery, and we are pleased that we can now offer a solution that fits their specific needs.”
Dish Network has announced the release of this newest feature in the Dish Network lineup as coming sometime in the early part of 2010.
Loyal Dish Network customers know the quality and channel line up that comes with Dish Network service. Now they can stay current on local, national and global channels for sports, news, movies, music and more.
