There's no doubt that a high speed Internet connection can do a lot of good things for you and your family. After all, the more quickly and easily you can access information and entertainment, the better. Right? Therefore the faster the Internet connection that you can get, the better off you are.

The technology that's embodied in the Geosynchronous Positioning System is making a huge difference in the lives of a number of people, and the influence of this incredibly useful technology will continue to grow in the years and decades to come. The Geosynchronous Positioning System is made up of a series of satellites that are in fixed orbits around the Earth's equator. The fact that these satellites are in a fixed position means that they stay in the same place in the sky relative to anyone on the surface of the Earth as they rotate around the Earth. They do this by being at the equilibrium point in orbit around the Earth where they can have an orbital speed that neither puts them ahead of nor behind the rotation of the planet.
